Backed by nine decades of rich history and a laudable record of achievements, NUS is determined, along with the rest of Singapore, to scale new heights and aim for even higher goals.

To achieve this, NUS has started to systematically and objectively carry out an institutional self-assessment, confident in our ability to adapt to the changing environment and take on new challenges. What are the strengths, already achieved, that we should capitalize on? What are the areas where we can do better? What are the new opportunities that invite full exploitation and what issues loom large on the horizon?

The recently completed strategic planning exercise seeks to answer these questions, questions which will enable NUS to contribute in a substantial way to Singapore's competitiveness in the region and internationally.
